Day-1: Departure from London for Bologna. Our flight includes meals, drinks and entertaiment during the flight. Arrival and meeting with the local guide. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day-2: After breakfast departure by motor coach for Marzabotto, near Bologna. Here is the historic “Park of Monte Sole” known all over the world for the Marzabotto massacre.
It was the worst massacre of civilians committed by the Waffen SS in Italy, during the war. Here the local guide will you accompany you along the “route of the memorial”. Free lunch in the park. Dinner and overnight stay in Bologna.
Day-3: After breakfast departure for Fossoli, near Carpi. Here is the Ex Fossoli’s Camp, which was a prison camp, built by Italians in 1942. During the Italian Social Republic it was used as a concentration camp, by SS, for the deportation of Jews to Germany.
After lunch guided visit of the Memorial Museum of the Deported. It was opened in 1973, to commemorate the victims of deportation. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day-4: After breakfast departure for Nonantola, a little village near Modena. Here we will visit Villa Emma, that hosted 73 young Jews, during the Second World War.
In 2004 was born the Fondation Villa Emma, to remember this event. Furthermore, in 2001 was opened the photo exibition, that helped to reconstruct the long escape of these young Jews.

Day-5: After breakfast departure for Castel D’Aiano, a little town near Bologna. Here we will admire the three-dimensional plastic, that reproduces, through movies, projections and animations the events happened on the Gothic Line. After lunch, we will proceed with the guided visit along the mountains paths, where we will have the opportunity to see the evident signs of the Gothic line.
Dinner and overnight stay in Bologna.
Day-6: After breakfast time free for last minute visits or shopping. After lunch transfer to Marconi airport and departure for London.
